Behind The Scenes
The Buildings and Grounds team is always busy taking care of our church facilities. Although we tend to function in more of a “behind the scenes” capacity, we keep the building systems functioning when you need them; lights, plumbing, heat, that’s all B&G. In the past few months, we have done a lot of digging. We trenched for new electrical conduit, uncovered a drain issue, excavated for a concrete pad and worked on fixing the potholes in the driveway. The backhoes and piles of dirt, although temporarily unsightly, mean that new improvements are coming. Keep checking in to see what we are tackling next!
April showers might bring May flowers, but at Central Manor Church of God, May brings roofing projects. The Building and Grounds team has two roofing projects underway; underlayment repair and new asphalt shingles above the church sanctuary and transepts, and a new roof on the parsonage. Things are really looking up this month.
A Chill Is In the Air
Summer months bring more opportunities for church members to gather after Sunday services and celebrate in the Fellowship Hall for lunch. Some love the food and fellowship, others dread the sweltering stuffiness of a space that is just not comfortable in the summer. The Building and Grounds team is excited to announce AIR CONDITIONING in the Fellowship Hall. As the temperatures rise this summer, be cool and come to church!
