Coronavirus Statement March 14, 2020

Greetings Church family,

2 Timothy 1:7 [ESV]

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

We want to inform you of the current measures the leadership team of Central Manor Church has implemented as our course of action as we navigate the Coronavirus emergency. Currently we know of no one associated with the church to have or have been in contact with anyone who has been exposed to the Coronavirus.

Tomorrow, Sunday March 15th, we will be holding both our 8:15am and 10:45am services. We want our church to observe the day of prayer as called for by President Trump.

If it gives you more peace of mind to stay at home to worship and pray, we understand and support you. The video of the sermon will be available online as soon as possible.

We are taking measures to reduce social contact:

-There will be no Sunday Schools.

-We will have door attendants to lessen the need to touch door handles. Additionally, door handles and surfaces will be sanitized between services.

-We encourage anyone who would be at higher risk due to age and or existing medical conditions to stay at home.

-There will be no children’s ministries or nursery available.

-No one will be permitted in the downstairs areas of our building.

-People with young children may utilize our Family worship area in the Fellowship Hall.

-If any nursing mothers need an area, the conference room will be open.

-Voting for the new Assistant Pastor position will proceed as planned.

-“Drive up” voting will be offered from 2pm to 3pm Sunday afternoon for those who prefer not to attend services but would still like to cast a vote. Weekly offering will be accepted at that time as well.

-The New Attenders Luncheon is postponed.

-No membership or baptism class.

-There will be no ministry events or meetings during the week.

-Anyone who has a key or cardkey for building access is being asked to refrain from entering the building without clearance given from the church leadership.

-Children’s ministries will be postponed for two weeks and will subsequently follow Penn Manor School Districts operational determinations.

-The Food Pantry will be closed for the next two Wednesdays, March 18th & 25th.

Any changes to services moving forward will be determine midweek as information continues to develop. We will be following the guidelines as enacted by our Governor and the President of the United States.

If you know of needs during this modified period of time, please let the church know.

We serve the mighty God who is sovereign. We want to be responsible to serve our church and community in the best and most responsible ways. We continue to have faith in God, continue to worship, and continue to pray. Please join us in that spirit of worship and prayer.
