Bulletin Announcements for November 15, 2020

General Announcements

“Our Daily Bread” Devotionals for December, January, February are available at the Welcome Center.

Thank you to our Veterans for their service!

Thanksgiving Service-“Praise & Pie” will be Sunday evening November 22 at 6:30pm. This will be a time of prayer, testimonies, singing, a devotional and enjoying some pie. Please bring a pie to share.

If anyone would like to have a mailbox in the upper lobby, please contact the church office.

Third church service. We are planning to begin a third church service at 9:30am on Sunday November 15, 2020. The reasons for this additional service are 1. We are above our capacity that we set of 125 per church service 2. The upcoming holidays, with likely increased attendance as we approach our Christmas service, the Sunday before Christmas and our Christmas Eve service. We are planning for this service to carry on at least until our resurrection Sunday celebration at Easter. We will monitor our needs and adjust as we go.

Ways you can help – 1. If you see that the seating is filling up, consider using the overflow room in the Fellowship Hall. 2. With adding another service we have increased needs for ushers, greeters and Welcome Center workers. There is a signup sheet at the Welcome Center. If you are an adult, teen, or family unit that would like to help out, sign up! You will need to wear a smile under your mask and warmly welcome everyone as they come to church. See Tony and Nicole Sahd for more information.

With planning to begin a third church service, we are also planning to begin a new Sunday School class on November 15 at 10:45.  This Sunday school is intended to be integrated but we would also like to be able to reach young adults who are single or married to be a part of this group. Daryn Vinson is planning to teach. He may have some help alternating with a couple of others.

Operation Christmas Child

Our Operation Christmas Child Box campaign has started! There will be OCC boxes and brochures available to help you bless a needy child this Christmas located in the upper lobby. Please carefully follow the instructions in the OCC brochure to help us prepare the boxes for the next location. All boxes need to be returned by Sunday, November 15. We will have a time of prayer for the children who will receive the boxes during the worship services. Please place the boxes on the stage when returning them on November 15. Thank you for participating.

Need some encouragement? A good Bible study? We have resources available to you! RightNow Media is free for all our members and attenders.  If you don’t already have access to this gigantic video library, send your email address to the church office or text “RightNow CMANOR” to 41411. Also feel free to check out materials for both children and adults in the church library located downstairs to the right of the ramp.

125th Celebration

There is now a Church History Room where you can go and look at old pictures, programs, etc. It is located in Room 001 downstairs next to the library. Feel free to check it out.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is open by appointment only. Please contact the church office if you are in need or aware of a need. Thank you to all those that donated food.

Level Up

If you are interested in being baptized or membership, please join the Level Up class at 9:30am in the Conference Room today, November 15. Baptism and membership is scheduled for November 22.

Volunteer Opportunities

We want to effectively minister to those who worship with us through online church. We are looking for a few people to function as “hosts” for our online services. Basically this area of service and ministry will be to engage and interact with those attending church online. We will train you and schedule you based on your availability. If you are interested in serving or just want to get further information, contact Pastor Scott or Jason.

The Missions Team is collecting new and used children’s books for Terry Ortman, who is opening a new English school library in Indonesia. They are in need of picture books for the younger set, chapter books for upper grades, and photo books of animals, flowers, etc. They can be secular or religious, but all in English. A donation box will be in the lobby until next Sunday, Nov 22.

On Thursday November 26th the church will be sponsoring the Workman’s  Family and Friends Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Fellowship at 12pm in the Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to attend or volunteer to help in serving the meal. No signup necessary.
