It is Good to Give Thanks to God!

Psalm 92

A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord. 1-3

                 Give thanks to God

                 Declare God’s faithfulness

                 Declare God’s worth with music

It is good to give thanks to the Lord because he does great things 4-7

                You have made me glad by your work

                Your work causes me to sing

                         The stupid will not know

                         The fool will not understand

It is good to give thanks to God because He will judge evildoers 9, 11

               Your enemies will be judged

                         I have seen my enemies perish

                         The righteous will flourish and declare the greatness of God

It is good to give thanks to God because He is exalted 8-15

                He is exalted on high forever

                He delivers us from our enemies

                         Your enemies will perish

                         Your people will flourish

Purpose: to thank God for His hand of blessing through difficult times.  To thank God for His deliverance from those that oppose Him.

Proposition: Thank God for His deliverance!
