Our Grounding

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

Colossians 2:6-7

Our Purpose

Our goal is to partner with families to disciple teens into a mature faith and Christ-like living through the preaching and teaching of God’s word, service to God and to others, meaningful relationships, and fellowship.

Sunday Morning

Our teens are a vital part of our church, and we value and encourage their participation in our morning services as we all come together to worship God through singing and hearing the preaching of His Word.

During the 9:00 AM hour, we offer Sunday School for Junior High (7th – 8th grades) and Senior High (9th-12th). Our Junior High class utilizes Bible Studies for Life as their curriculum, and our Senior High class utilizes a scope and sequence of topics that we feel are valuable to learn during their time in high school. For example, this past year Senior High completed curriculums on such topics as Church History, The Life of David, and The Sermon on the Mount. Fall 2023, Senior High will be studying Alive: Gospel Sexuality for Students in order to address a biblical view of issues related to sexuality and gender.

Sunday Night Youth Group

Our Youth Group meets on Sunday Nights from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. During this time, we begin with a time of worship, which includes several songs led by our youth worship team and a message from God’s Word. We conclude the evening with a large group game and snacks – it is youth group after all. For our youth group, this has been a wonderful time to be encouraged in their faith, make godly friendships, and to establish meaningful relationships with dedicated and Christ-like youth leaders.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

During the school year, several of our youth leaders lead a Bible Study on Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8:00. This time includes a game or icebreaker, Bible lesson, and small group prayer time.

Missions Trips

Each summer, we take our 9th – 12th graders on a missions trip in order to provide unique opportunities to serve God and others in a setting apart from our local church and community.

For many of our teens, these trips have been wonderful catalysts for spiritual growth. In order for teens to qualify for these trips, they have to be regularly serving in church throughout the year.
